The Abington Lions

We have been serving the needs of the Abington community and have been part of the Fight for Sight since 1951. We are currently the only service organization in Abington Township.

Our goal is to be a beacon of hope for those afflicted with sight impairments, families and individuals in need of a helping hand and charitable organizations. 100% of the profits from our fund-raising efforts go directly back into the community.

We have provided support to such local groups as the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Roslyn, Delaware Valley Eye Bank and CAPT (Citizens and Police Together). We also offer help to families in need and have helped needy children to get eye exams and glasses. Annually, we offer scholarships for local high school graduates and host a Christmas party for students in Abington School district’s Head Start program.

Beyond our immediate community, we have provided support for such programs as Leader Dog (seeing eye dogs for the blind) and Beacon Lodge which is a camp for sight impaired, both are Lions Club programs.

The Lions offers not only the rewards of helping others in the community, but also the fellowship and friendship of fellow Lions.

To become a part of this outstanding organization or to make a contribution please contact us for more information.
